Mark Ronson's Version

I picked up Mark Ronson’s Version. My favourite track on the record is Valerie featuring Amy Winehouse on vocals. For the most part the instrumentation is great but sometimes the vocals are not my cup of tea. I mean really, Ol’ Dirty Bastard? Next! I noticed that Kasabian is featured on the record. Since I have moved here they are ubiquitous yet I couldn’t tell you the name or hum a few bars of any of their songs. The record begins with an instrumental interpretation of Coldplay’s God Put a Smile Upon Your Face. It’s worth a listen. --J
