Travelling to Wales this week, I didn’t hear about the controversy until it was over. It seems that The Pogues’ classic “Fairytale of New York” was going to be censored for radio airplay but now that has changed. See the interesting article here that documents the rollercoaster ride. Funny, one of my housemates saw The Pogues this week in London. Of course the song was played without any censoring.
